Hiring Intermediate Corporate LAA to work in Downtown Vancouver Law Firm

Our client specializes in serving real estate developers, entrepreneurs, commercial lenders and borrowers in downtown Vancouver’s business district and they are seeking a corporate LAA to join their team!

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Open and distribute incoming mail within the Corporate Services Department;
  • Prepare annual maintenance documents (annual reports/returns, annual consent resolutions) for British Columbia companies and Federal corporations;
  • Sort returned annual reports/returns and collation of same for filing at corporate registry;
  • Attend to corporate registry filings including annual reports;
  • Draft standard letters and documents and routine e-mail correspondence concerning annual maintenance using application software (Word, Outlook and ALF);
  • Maintaining bring forward system;
  • Prepare invoices using PC Law accounting software;
  • Perform due diligence searches including BC Online, Personal Property Registry, LTSA and ancillary searches;
  • Scanning records and establishing virtual minute books;
  • Providing general administrative support for our Corporate Commercial and Real Estate practitioners; and
  • Acting as second back-up for Reception relief (in case primary back-up is away).

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple files and meet critical timelines;
  • Ability to proactively manage all administrative functions of the position, including file management
  • Advanced computer skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with PC Law and knowledge of BC corporate records including ability to review minute books
  • ALF records is considered an asset.

Salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 dependent on experience and skills.
