Hiring An Intermediate Estate Paralegal to work in Leading Large Service Law Firm’s Office in Vancouver (14 month contract)

Our client is one of Western Canada’s largest full-service law firms with an office location conveniently located in downtown Vancouver.  They are seeking a senior corporate paralegal to work in estate law on a 14-month temporary contract with the possibility to extend to permanent full-time. This role requires an individual who is organized, effective at multi-tasking and detail oriented, with strong communication and people skills.

Depending on experience and knowledge, the core responsibilities of the role will be, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with complex estate transactions from start to finish
  • Drafting various legal documents as they relate to estate law
  • Handling wills
  • Organizing client files and reviewing outstanding matters
  • Working with both internal and external parties involved on a file
  • Other administrative duties as required

What you bring to the table:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Paralegal in a busy estate practice
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Outlook
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a mentor/mentee environment
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently

Compensation:

The typical salary range for this position is $85,00 – $95,000. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related skills/knowledge, experience, and internal and market equity. Also included is a comprehensive benefits package.
