Our client, a boutique law firm focusing in the area of construction, commercial and matrimonial dispute resolution, is looking for a full-time intermediate LAA to assist with their family law team.


  • Opening and maintaining files
  • Running conflict searches
  • Dealing with large volume of emails
  • Maintaining calendars and BF system
  • Routine correspondence
  • Preparing, serving and filing court documents like Notice of Trials, Notice of Change of Lawyer and more
  • Scheduling trial dates, discoveries, meetings, conferences and confirmation of dates
  • Providing additional administrative support like dicta-typing and monthly invoices
  • Tracking deadlines


  • LAA program or equivalent; and/or relevant work experience
  • Understanding of BC Supreme Court Rules, court practice and procedures
  • Family Law familiarity
  • Time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent judgement
  • Discretion with confidential and sensitive matters
  • High client service orientation
  • Strong work ethic
  • File organization and time management proficiency
  • Ability to work overtime if needed
  • MS Word, Excel & Outlook proficiency
  • PC Law experience is considered an asset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
