Our client, a law firm in operation for over 90 years, is looking for a full-time legal administrative assistant to work in civil litigation in their downtown Vancouver office.   • Preparation of correspondence, pleadings, memos, internal forms, email and other documents by transcribing dictation or otherwise
  • Communication with clients, opposing parties, their lawyers and staff; experts and other witnesses; court staff, agents and others
  • Scheduling and booking appointments, examinations for discovery, court appearances, trials and travel for lawyers and all related documentation and communication with relevant parties
  • Organizing lawyers’ calendars, managing file timeliness and maintaining bring forward systems
  • Organizing electronic and paper files including scanning, copying and filing documents and relevant emails
  • Utilizing accounting software for time entry, pre-bill preparation creation of accounts and related functions
  • Preparing conflict search and file openings
  • Preparation of closed files for storage


  • Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program
  • 2 -5 years previous legal administrative experience
  • Excellent English communication and grammar skills
  • Great work ethic and initiative
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Superior attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Litigation experience preferred
