Hiring a Legal Administrative Assistant for Business Law (Commercial Real Estate) in Downtown Law Firm

Our client is a multi-service law firm looking for a commercial real estate legal administrative assistant to work for two lawyers in their firm. They are looking for a smart candidate who will endeavor to work hard and put their best work before them.

Responsibilities included but are not limited to:

  • Conduct corporate searches, including LTO and due diligence
  • Dictation transcription
  • Maintain B/F system and organize files – electronic and paper based
  • Prepare client invoices
  • Help with preparation of documents including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, shareholder’s agreements and commercial leases
  • Word processing, including tracking changes and blacklining

Requirements:

  • LAA Certification of Diploma
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate/commercial or real estate law preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An eye for detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Word including blacklining and tracking changes
  • Familiarity with conveyancing (basic)
  • Knowledge of BC Online, myLTSA and real estate forms
  • Worldox and Elite considered and asset
