Hiring a General Legal Administrative Assistant to Work in a Family Law Firm

Our client is a smaller law practice with a focus on family law and they are looking to add a Legal Administrative Assistant to their team! The Legal Administrative Assistant will be the primary point of contact for clients of the firm. One on one training will be provided for the role. They are looking for a motivated candidate to take initiative and adapt to the needs of the firm.

Responsibilities:

– Managing client intake
– Maintain conflict check database
– Maintain client files throughout the lifecycle of the case with the firm
– Scan and file incoming mail, correspondence, invoices and documents
– Draft correspondence, requests for documents, reports etc.
– Prepare documents for service and court filing
– Data entry in the accounting system
– Communications with clients, including follow-up on retainers, invoices, payments, appointment reminders
– Manage and update the lawyer’s schedule, calendar, BFs etc.
– Prepare pleadings, list of documents, application records, trial binders, etc
– Book trial, examination of discovery, JCC, TMC, mediations, etc.
– Schedule and arrange for couriers, interpreters, experts, mediators, etc.
– Assist with general administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, food, booking restaurants, travel & accommodation
– Other duties as assigned
