Hiring 2 Legal Administrative Assistants or Paralegals to assist two teams of Solicitors

Our client is a medium-size full service law firm located in the heart of North Vancouver.  The firm was formed over 35 years ago and is centrally located near transportation, shopping, and lunchtime dining.  The office boasts a gorgeous outdoor patio with a mountain view as an ideal setting for their longtime staff’s lunch and social breaks.  They are looking to hire 2 LAA’s or PL’s to work in two teams of  the firm’s solicitors.


  • Draft, revise and finalize letters and documents
  • Organize and prepare documents for execution
  • Communicate professionally with clients, set appointments, gather information and provide updates
  • Administrative tasks include file organization, opening and closing files, maintaining a bring forward system, and attending to invoicing for your lawyers
  • Liaise with external parties, including other law firms, governmental organizations, and the firm’s service providers or contractors
  • Contribute to the development of firm processes and templates for your solicitors’ areas of practice


  • LAA Certificate or Paralegal Diploma or Certificate or prior experience in substantive legal work is also possible
  • A minimum of two or three years of experience in a Solicitor’s practice, in a variety of types of work
  • The firm assists clients in Wills & Estates, Corporate/Commercial, Corporate transactional and general legal work (so all types of corporate legal experience will be considered)
  • Experience with Word, BC Online, and E-Conveyance and, as well,  EsiLaw accounting would  be considered an asset as would experience using a document management software  such as iManage
  • Excellent prioritization and strong organizational skills
  • Good understanding of law office policies and procedures
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
