Our client is a high-performance, regional firm with global connections and is looking for a legal administrative assistant with at least 5 years of litigation experience to assist a partner in their downtown Vancouver location. This lawyer has a very busy and diverse practice, covering areas of law that include criminal to administrative to environmental law. Accordingly, he will require someone to assist establish and maintain organizational systems to manage paper-flow; client contact; drafting and filing documents; billing and administrative tasks.
In order to succeed in this role, the selected candidate, in addition to having strong attention to detail, a proactive and collaborative work ethic, and a tenacious and positive attitude, will need to have a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM and intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Occasional overtime is required for this position, as well.
