We have an excellent opportunity at a large, full-service firm in Vancouver for a General Accounting Clerk!

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, accurate and timely processing of client disbursements by reviewing proper supporting documents; reviewing and completing daily rush payments; managing and reconciling petty cash; assisting the team with filing cheques and backups, and sending them to offsite storage at year end; managing A/R postings and investigations; checking each general bank accounts for NSF cheques, returned items, direct deposits, service charges and responding as necessary; managing credit card deposits; sending reminder statements and soft collection calls; assisting with administration and miscellaneous accounts clean up; provide entry-level trust support; WIP follow up; A/R follow up; and other ad hoc duties as needed.

The successful candidate will have an Accounting Diploma or Degree in related field, excellent communication and problem solving skills, MS Office skills, and knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures.  Candidates with previous trust experience will be given preference during the selection period.
