Our client is seeking a full-time law firm Financial Manager to join their team at the commencement of the New Year! This role is set to be a hybrid of in-office and remote work.
The successful candidate will have a CPA / CGA (preferred) designation and possess at least 5 years of solid experience with full cycle firm trust accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters. In addition to having intimate working knowledge of their computer accounting systems, PC Law, QuickBooks, Excel, ADP (for payroll), and MS Word, the successful candidate must be able to work in an intensely collaborative capacity with firm partners and staff, perform high-level accounting tasks independently, and possess the drive to be fully ingrained with the firm’s business activities.
As the firm’s sole source of accounting support, the responsibilities of the role include managing daily financial operations, such as bank reconciliations, full-cycle billing, AR, AP, trust accounting, and payroll; preparing routine partner financial reports and tracking key performance metrics, preparation of budgets and forecasts; assisting outside accountants with preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns; monitoring employee performance and quarterly bonus system; and researching and providing recommendations on accounting and compliance issues, as well as improving efficiencies.
