Our client, one of Vancouver’s premier boutique commercial law firms, is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to support 2 busy associates in their Commercial Real Estate Team!
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with solid experience in commercial real estate law to bring their strong communication skills, ability to multitask and adapt with changing priorities, and advanced computer skills to work with many of the province’s industry leaders.
Responsibilities of the role include handling commercial real estate and financing files from due diligence through to reporting; preparing and filing Land Title forms and PPSA registrations; preparing title binders, closing books, trust reconciliations, reporting letters and bills; acting as a point of contact and fielding incoming inquiries from clients, outside counsel and staff; performing meeting and schedule management functions; document preparation and management; the occasional copy and dicta-typing and time entry; and other administrative tasks, as required.
While prospective candidates need not a paralegal designation (though preferred) to be considered for the role, the successful individual will possess thorough knowledge of BC corporate records, including the ability to review minute books and ALF records in preparation for commercial real estate transactions, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet critical timelines.
