Our client is looking to add a new LAA to their team while the incumbent is on leave. This is a temp-to-permanent possibility with a great opportunity to join a growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • New file openings
  • Preparation of documentation relating to transactions using BC Online
  • Using LTSA
  • Preparing purchase, sale and refinance documents
  • Reviewing contracts, financing documents, lease and land title documents
  • Due diligence searches
  • Working with various commercial real estate transactions
  • Filing in Land Title Office (online)
  • Maintain client contact, audits and conflict searches
  • Expense requisitions and other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a LAA
  • Diploma or certificate from recognized LAA or Paralegal program
  • Attention to detail and great proofreading skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Suite and BC Online
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
