Our client is looking to add a new LAA to their team while the incumbent is on leave. This is a temp-to-permanent possibility with a great opportunity to join a growing team.
Responsibilities:
- New file openings
- Preparation of documentation relating to transactions using BC Online
- Using LTSA
- Preparing purchase, sale and refinance documents
- Reviewing contracts, financing documents, lease and land title documents
- Due diligence searches
- Working with various commercial real estate transactions
- Filing in Land Title Office (online)
- Maintain client contact, audits and conflict searches
- Expense requisitions and other duties assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a LAA
- Diploma or certificate from recognized LAA or Paralegal program
- Attention to detail and great proofreading skills
- Working knowledge of MS Suite and BC Online
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
