One of the leading construction and insurance law firms in Canada is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join their Assistant Replacement Team.
As this position will be providing coverage for vacations and sick leaves throughout the firm, this position will be responsible for a wide array of legal administrative tasks. This will mainly involve managing all aspects of files, including, but not limited to, providing clear, concise, and complete oral and written information; drafting correspondence and legal documents; time entry and client billings; file opening/closing procedures; maintaining the calendar, booking appointments, and managing BFs; performing complex editing and formatting of documents for various correspondence, reports, forms, and spreadsheets; managing a high volume of paper correspondence; using transcription software/equipment to transcribe digital mediate; and performing other related duties as required.
This role will, therefore, require 1 to 3 years’ LAA experience, a thorough understanding of litigation legal procedures, and an exceptional aptitude for software and systems.
